P&K Stone LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to become a part of our team!

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operation of heavy mobile equipment, including front end loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, and haul trucks.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily or pre-shift inspections on equipment and operate it safely.
  • Operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Comply with company safety rules, regulations, MSHA, and plant safety rules.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Perform related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed.
  • Understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
  • Recognize potentially hazardous situations.
  • Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Work weeks may exceed 40 hours per week.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Complete pre‑shift inspection reports.
  • Work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Communicate via two‑way radio.
  • Wear all required safety equipment.
  • Perform duties safely.
  • Read and interpret gauges.
  • Work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work.
  • Walk, sit, lift, push, pull, turn, climb, and operate controls.
  • Exert up to 100 pounds of force.
  • Talk and hear regularly to communicate safely around heavy equipment.
  • Walk, sit, lift, push, pull, and climb to a significant degree.
  • Sit most of the time, with brief periods of walking or standing.

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
