The (ATP) Value Stream Manager (VSM) is the Integrated Project Team leader at a new, cutting‑edge surveillance product factory in McKinney. The VSM reports to the Factory Manager and directs a cross‑functional team, ensuring seamless manufacturing of line‑flow or end‑item products. The role requires frequent on‑site presence and the ability to work extended hours in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Direct supervision of Cell Leads and responsibility for 30+ operators and test technicians, including recruitment and staffing.
- Collaborate and communicate with upstream and downstream VSMs and leadership.
- Apply manufacturing principles and team roles to support initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement.
- Lead development and sustainment of product‑focused processes, tooling, equipment, and test architecture.
- Deploy and maintain lean transformation activities in conjunction with support teams.
- Implement CORE structure, concepts, and execution, including tier accountability.
- Provide personnel performance input and coach team members for career development.
- Manage sequencing, planning, scheduling, and coordination tasks to support manufacturing workflow.
- Track and monitor HPU performance of the team.
- Develop strategic plans for short‑term execution and long‑range planning.
- Set and execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality to align with project schedules.
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Background in manufacturing or operations.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Active, transferable U.S. Secret government‑issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional team environment.
- Previous experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines and deliverables.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering practices.
- Knowledge of quality requirements in manufacturing environments.
- Superior communication skills.
- Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and related manufacturing operations.
