What You Will Do
- Perform hands–on assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies using detailed work instructions and photographs.
- Clock in to the production tracking system and participate in tier meetings for task assignment.
- Draw parts kits, sub–assemblies, and gather consumables (thread locking compound, primer).
- Conduct visual inspections, using a microscope or magnifying glass as needed.
- Route wires, mate connectors, install brackets, and assemble sub–assemblies, ensuring correct torque and thread locking.
- Use manual torque drivers with transition to automated tools; work at both seated and standing stations.
- Perform rework operations (removal and replacement of sub–assemblies) on units that failed testing.
- Document all work in the production system and raise issues to supervisor or engineer.
On‑site position in McKinney, TX, 3rd shift. Overtime may be required occasionally.
QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- High School diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience performing assemblies using work instructions, engineering drawings, and schematic documentation.
- Proficient with small fasteners, connectors, and sub–assemblies requiring fine hand and finger dexterity.
- Experience with production tracking systems such as SAP, VM, CMES, or similar manufacturing execution systems.
- U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.
- Use of torque tools, feeler gauges, and thread locking compounds.
- Wire routing and connector mating.
- Manufacturing environment with structured work instructions and quality documentation.
- Military electronics or electromechanical maintenance training (various specialties).
Requires active, transferable DoD Secret clearance. U.S. citizen required for eligibility.
