Position Overview
The Configuration and Data Management Department is seeking a highly motivated Principal Specialist, Engineering Services to join the team on‑site in McKinney, TX. The role requires an active, transferable Secret DoD U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date. Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 annually.
Responsibilities- Read statement of work and 1423 forms.
- Understand the integrated master schedule, load submission schedule, and track/submit/close submissions.
- Support program events and maintain accurate task status.
- Apply CM/DM approach and tools to perform data management for both unclassified and classified tasks.
- Work independently while supporting team goals and communicating status.
- During peak periods, may work a modified schedule to meet program needs.
- Develop Hardware Configuration Management skills, such as drawing/work‑product releases and drawing changes, to back up team members as required.
- CM/DM approach and CM/DM tools.
- Active and transferable Secret DoD U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- University degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools, or ability to learn CM/DM processing tools (e.g., Windchill Common PDM).
- Understanding of data/configuration management concepts.
- Experience working in a classified environment on DoD contracts.
- Ability to read and comprehend statement of work, 1423 forms, integrated master schedule, and work‑product management plan.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Project.
- Strong problem‑solving and ad‑hoc issue resolution skills.
- Capacity to work independently on tasks.
- Strong communication and reading/comprehension abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
- 7+ years of relative experience.
- Flexible work weeks: 9/80A, 5/40.
