McKinney Electrical Supervisor

Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing the work of the electrical staff based on operational priorities and generated work orders, ensuring safe and efficient installation and repair of facilities and machinery across the campus.

• Oversee electrical technicians during shifts, communicating assignments and ensuring they have the necessary materials and instructions.
• Check work in progress and provide troubleshooting assistance as needed.
• Coordinate with the Safety Team to ensure all equipment meets safety requirements.
• Maintain electrical safety and documentation compliance, including Arc Flash PPE inventory.
• Ensure machine backups, PLC programs, HMI files, VFD parameters, and electrical prints are current and properly stored.
• Manage and maintain machine software libraries.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with PLC and HMI troubleshooting and programming.
• Experience with AC/DC drives (VFD) diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Knowledge of motor and motion controller troubleshooting, with preference for familiarity with Kinetix 5700 platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Solid computer proficiency (email, MS Office, electronic maintenance tools).
• Experience using CMMS.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, mechanical and other departments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
