Duties and Responsibilities- Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled following proper lock out tag out procedures, performs corrective or reactive maintenance when a line is down, assists with changeovers of the machines as scheduled to accommodate the production schedule, adjusts the machines as necessary to maintain the productivity on the machines.
- Leads and supports continuous improvement projects; supports new employees on proper training of using, troubleshooting and maintaining the machinery; keeps the spare parts and maintenance workbench and tool carts in order, clean and safe; supports the safety committee to ensure all guidelines and regulations are followed and is responsible for machine safety and proper operation.
- Help during the startup and shutdown procedures in production; additionally fills out the proper documentation when performing adjustments, preventive or reactive maintenance, waste disposal management and proper documentation; assists with facilities maintenance as needed; performs in a manner consistent with company core values and purpose.
- Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually; clocks in and out for work and lunch with no more than 1 error per month; provides excellent customer service; follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines; actively demonstrates teamwork at all times; manages stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
- Adheres to company safety standards at all times, ensuring no serious injuries occurred during the prior 12‑month period; follows other policies and procedures so that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least 2 years’ experience in a production environment repairing and maintaining custom machinery; excellent understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes; mechanical skills needed to perform maintenance and proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques.
- Able to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and concepts; able to read/comprehend instructions in electronic or mechanical instruction books, including electric, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams; familiarity with implementing or maintaining equipment and facilities based on ISO
9001 or 13485; fluent in English; skilled in time management, multitasking, customer problem solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision. - Ability to learn and perform primary functions of positions within department; ability to manage stress; ability to meet physical demands of the job including walking, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting for extended periods at a desk using a computer, phone and headset, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 45 pounds.
- Position spends approx. 100% time moving about the production area, including walking, standing, sitting, squatting, reaching, twisting, and leaning; vision and hearing must be within or correctable to normal range; must work from the corporate office on a regular basis during regular business hours; must be available for evening or weekend work as needed; noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Stat Lab has a great team‑oriented culture and offers a generous benefits package and salary commensurate with experience. The position is 100% onsite. Starting hourly rate of $23.07 with an additional $0.75 per hour during hours worked on B shift. B shift hours are 2:00 pm–10:30 pm Monday‑Friday with some weekend overtime.
