Position Overview

The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is the Integrated Project Team leader within a production or depot manufacturing environment. The VSM reports to the Factory Manager and is accountable for the daily management and direction of a cross‑functional team that includes Cell Leads, Production Support (ME, PTE, IE, QE, PC), and Production Engineering/Test Support. Key responsibilities include generating, maintaining, and executing clear operational schedules, priorities, and goals while collaborating with functional management to enable continuous manufacturing of line‑flow or end‑item products.

Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 5 Cell Leads and responsibility for 50+ Operators and Test Technicians.
  • Collaborate and communicate with upstream and downstream VSMs and leadership.
  • Utilize manufacturing principles and support team roles to drive initiatives, projects, improvements, and efforts.
  • Oversee and lead the generation, development, and sustainment of product‑focused processes, tooling, equipment, and test architecture.
  • Deploy and maintain lean transformation and 1.5 activities in conjunction with the VSM and support teams.
  • Deploy and maintain CORE structure, concepts, and execution, including tier accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide personnel performance input, coaching, and mentoring for all related functions.
  • Perform sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordination, failure triage support, and reporting to support the manufacturing workflow.
  • Track and monitor HPU performance of the team.
  • Develop short‑term and long‑range strategic plans.
  • Define and execute priorities related to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality concerning project schedules.
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or operations.
  • Supervisory and/or managerial experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a cross‑functional team environment.
  • Experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines, requirements, or deliverables.
  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial engineering practices.
  • Experience performing quality requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and other manufacturing operations for similar products or processes.

  • Salary range: $132,400 USD – $251,600 USD (good faith estimate).
Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship is required. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance in this position.
