Program Management, Planning & Scheduling Professional – Program Design & Planning

Salary Range: $107,500 – $204,500

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and analyze the Program Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Ensure accurate and effective plans through network and integrated workflow of schedule activities.
  • Analyze critical path, risk integration, IMS structure and evaluate trends and schedule‑related metrics.
  • Prepare IMS coding, outlining structures and ensure adherence to directives and department scheduling best practices.
  • Lead scheduling/planning on larger or complex efforts or manage multiple smaller efforts.
  • Integrate program technical and programmatic solutions into the IMS baseline plan, ensuring cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated.
  • Maintain fully compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure program plan and IMS align with IPDS and program life cycle.
  • Review IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing or improperly planned work.
  • Utilize and recommend alternative/supplemental program management plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow).
  • Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis results, integrate mitigation plans into the IMS and schedule risks into the Risk Management process.
  • Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and network logic validation using EVMS processes.
  • Mentor and train junior planners.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8years of Program Planning, Scheduling or Project Management experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5years of experience.
  • Experience using industry‑related scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan).
  • Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and/or evaluating critical path and workflow.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
  • Ability to facilitate effective integration and maintenance of technical, schedule and cost in an EVMS environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating and modeling program technical solutions into the IMS.
  • Skill in interpreting/analyzing Schedule Risk Analysis results, program schedule risk/opportunity drivers and schedule probability of success.
  • Collaborative ability with Planning and functional organization SMEs.
  • Understanding of hardware/software development life cycle and exposure to agile methodologies.
  • Leadership experience in scheduling and EVMS techniques for teams of varying size and background.
  • Process improvement mindset and problem‑solving skills.
