Overview
Raytheon is seeking a supply planning professional in McKinney, Texas. This role supports programs in a fast-paced environment, coordinating material plans and production schedules across material management, factory, supply chain, and operations teams. The successful candidate will use data-driven insights to maintain system health and meet customer expectations, working with multiple shop floor control and MRP systems.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
- Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Confirm material supply availability daily; prepare purchase requests based on master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Collaborate with program support staff to resolve material shortages and issues impacting product build.
- Report on and troubleshoot MRP system generated exceptions; take corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
- Conduct quarterly physical inventory cycle counts and reconcile the system.
- Expedite movement of parts via move orders and stock transfers; perform movement of material to/from the factory and pack/ship as needed.
- Adhere to RTX EHS Lifting Guidelines.
- Maintain stacked Line of Business (LOB) data and extract impact data for weekly IPT/PPR meetings with programs.
- Attend, support, and/or lead weekly program and factory meetings; lead projects and facilitate training.
- Onsite presence required at the McKinney, TX facility.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in supply chain, production and/or planning control, MRP, inventory management, capacity planning, and/or manufacturing engineering in a government contractor environment.
- Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software.
- Experience transforming complex information into clear, concise, and visually engaging slides.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar software;
Six Sigma (CORE) and/or lean/process improvement experience. - Experience interfacing with all levels of an organization and with a large external customer base.
