Chemical Support Specialist

The selected candidate will be a member of the McKinney CMC Factory Operations organization and will be assigned as a 1st Shift Chemical Support Specialist supporting manufacturing operations across the McKinney site, with primary responsibility for the McKinney CMC Radome & Composite factories.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee daily coordination, storage, tracking, and compliance of production chemicals and freezer materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing while adhering to environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations.
  • Manage chemical inventory by monitoring levels, coordinating replenishment, handling issue/return processes, maintaining storage areas, and ensuring accurate accountability within approved systems.
  • Support shelf-life management, monitor expiration dates, and oversee the proper disposal of expired or nonconforming materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between manufacturing teams, suppliers, and environmental health and safety groups, performing inspections, verifying labeling and storage compliance, managing Safety Data Sheets, and ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of chemical transactions, inventory, inspections, and compliance activities, leveraging experience in manufacturing support, chemical management, or inventory control while adhering to EHS and safety standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of chemical handling, storage, inventory control, and compliance practices
  • Familiarity with SDS requirements, hazardous material controls, and chemical accountability processes
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to support factory operations
  • Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information (U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR)
