What the Role InvolvesAs a Lube Technician, your day revolves around keeping equipment in peak condition. Core responsibilities include:
- Lubrication & Preventive Maintenance: Perform assigned task lists covering equipment lubrication, preventive maintenance, and contamination prevention in line with company standards.
- Tool Proficiency: Use hand and power tools daily, including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, and drill presses.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy industrial machinery such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and basket trucks.
- Workspace Cleanliness: Keep all areas and machines free of leaked or spilled lubricants.
- Feedback & Reporting: Provide work order feedback on any discrepancies noted during service delivery.
- Elevated Work: Work from ladders, platforms, and scaffolding using fall protection equipment as needed.
The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though flexibility for other shifts, holidays, and weekends may be required based on operational demands.
Qualifications &Physical Requirements
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or approved GED. An MLT-1 (Machinery Lubrication Technician, Level
1) certification is preferred but not mandatory, and one year of lubrication experience is a plus. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts are also expected.
The work environment is a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures, with some outdoor duties. The role demands comfort with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, or standing.
