Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

Job Summary

Colin Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, located in McKinney, Texas, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the full‑time night shift (7p.m.–7a.m.).

How You’ll Contribute
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age
  • Document medical necessity in a timely and accurate manner
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments
  • Plan and document care within set time frames according to policies
  • Supervise and oversee the shift, delegating tasks such as group observation, meal supervision, and more
  • Ensure staff follows nursing policies and procedures and delivers exemplary patient care
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately, including notifying the physician when necessary
  • Follow hospital policy for medication administration
  • Engage patients with empathy, dignity, and respect
  • Deliver quality nursing care that ensures treatment plan goals are executed per hospital policies and demonstrated competencies
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

What We're Looking For
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and respond appropriately
  • Associate's degree in nursing is required
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Texas
  • Preferred: one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of employment
  • De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment
