Registered Nurse PACU

Job Summary:

Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves managing post-operative recovery, monitoring patient stability, and ensuring safe discharge procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in the designated system.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU or equivalent critical care experience.
• Proven ability to manage post-operative patient recovery and emergencies.
• Strong knowledge of PACU equipment, protocols, and Meditech documentation system.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications required.
