Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU, ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality neonatal care within a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing clinical conditions.
- Attend deliveries, including C-sections, to provide immediate neonatal assessment and care.
- Document patient progress and clinical interventions accurately in the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including dress code, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Maintain certifications and skills, including BLS, NRP, and hospital-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas RN license; candidates with active licenses only.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital/specialty experience in a Level III NICU setting.
- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented approach.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred.
- Ability to attend and manage deliveries, including C-sections.
