Role:
The Staff Nurse provides highly technical, patient-centered nursing care within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality treatment.
Responsibilities:Render direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), supervise team members, communicate clearly, build collaborative relationships, ensure safety, and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed in Texas, with at least 12 months RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program. BLS certification and additional departmental certifications are required.
Skills &Key Duties:
Knowledge of hospital policies and standards, effective communication, professionalism, and initiative for growth. Responsible for patient education, medication safety, and creating a therapeutic environment, always seeking to improve patient experience and team performance.
Environment:Work involves physical demands such as standing, moving, bending, and handling materials, with exposure to blood and body fluids, and hazardous conditions requiring safety precautions.
