Retail Counter Associate
The Range in McKinney is a family-owned indoor shooting range, and we are seeking a Retail Counter Associate, 21 years old or older. If you have excellent people and customer service skills and enjoy working in a retail environment, we want to hear from you. You must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends, weekdays and some holidays) and have reliable transportation.
Candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be able to multi-task, take care of members/guest quickly and efficiently and work without direction.

Hourly pay $10 - $16 an hour
Part time (Wed - Sun)
Education: High school or equivalent

Responsibilities- Greet members and guests
- Perform sales transactions using a computerized point of sale system
- Assign shooting lanes – coordinate range traffic
- Assist with firearm rental(s)
- Assist members/guests in choosing a new or rental firearm – once trained
- 4473 and NICS Background check process once trained
- Answer phone calls
- Sell ammunition, memberships, classes and merchandise
- Communicate safety requirements to members and guests – once trained
- Perform opening and closing tasks
- Be willing to learn about the firearms industry
- Be responsible for the retail area
- Keep the inventory in order
- Be able to work an event when needed
- Additional duties as needed but always within reason
- Have the ability to say “NO” when necessary.
All staff will be subject to a background check. If you cannot purchase a firearm legally in the US you should not apply. Drug test and lead level test will also be performed.
What are we looking for?An individual willing to learn about and enjoy working around the sport of shooting. We want someone who is hardworking, honest and is friendly to members and guests but also to your fellow associates. This is a no woke environment and candidates are expected to come to work and perform their job duties. We don’t need any drama llamas, nor do we want someone who is going to cause problems.
We are a team who works together and make sure our members/guests are well taken care of. And you also must be able to say “no” when needed. If you have retail or customer service experience but are lacking when it comes to firearms, no worries. We can train you.

Description: We are an 18‑lane indoor range with class/meeting rooms, virtual simulator, retail and event area. Our retail staff will perform duties of Range Safety Officer and provide members and guests with information on the range equipment and perform safety briefings to help maintain a safe range.

- Assist with rental firearms
- Clean range(s) at the end of the evening
- Maintain rental firearms (regular cleaning)
- Assist members/guests in choosing a new firearm
- Host shooting events
- Maintain compliance with 4473 and NICS Background check process
