Summary: The individuals who perform this job provide extraordinary shopping experiences to our guests and stock merchandise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Know and actively demonstrate, daily, our Company Mission Statement and Core Values.Maintain uniform standard, as detailed in the Employee Manual, for all worked hours.Know and actively demonstrate superior product knowledge.Greet guests and engage in conversation with a smile and a helpful demeanor, remembering that the guest always comes first.Recommend merchandise based on the guests' needs or desires, with a focus to suggest our in-house brands.Answer guests' questions concerning price and use of merchandise.Create client relationships with regular guests.Carry product to register counters and carry out products for guests, if needed.Run a cash register as business dictates.Receive orders as business dictates.Prepare promotional events as necessary.Set up displays or arrange merchandise on floor stacks, counters or tables, to promote sales.Front merchandise and rotate stock for freshness and stock shelves with product.Maintain neat and orderly sales floor and back stock.Clean shelves, bottles, aisles, and tables; look for product not stocked properly to avoid trips and falls.Maintain fresh and readable price tags on all products.Provide feedback to management regarding fast or slow-moving product, stock levels, out of stocks, and department needs.Prepare sales floor and storage areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process if needed.Properly use and maintain computers and RF scanner equipment.Seek to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity.Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present.Limit use of personal cell phone to work-related activities only while on the sales floor.Carry out directives of management efficiently.Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.Possess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.Constantly stand, lift, carry, walk, and bend, and reach products routinely weighing 50 pounds or more. Use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds or more occasionally using proper lifting techniques and tools. Push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more regularly. Communicate with and understand team members and guests.
See product and signage.Other projects and tasks assigned by management. Cleaning bathroom may be required.Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Retail sales experience preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
- Strong product knowledge is a plus.
- Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
- Communicate with coworkers and guests.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions/decimals; calculate discounts and percentages.
- Smiley, friendly, helpful demeanor.
- Responsible, reliable, and committed to providing extraordinary service.
- Patience, friendliness, outgoing personality, self-starter, strong work ethic.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Maintain valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit; may require Food Handlers Permit.
- Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds occasionally; push/pull 50-100 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, communicate and understand; vision for close and distance.
Hours
Full-time: approximately 35 hours per week. Must be available for any shift on Friday or Saturday and available 80% or more of all shifts each week. Part-time: up to 25 hours per week. Work outside of scheduled time without District Manager approval is prohibited and subject to discipline.
Certificates, Licenses
Must maintain a valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit. In some cases, a valid Food Handlers Permit is required. The TABC course takes 2-3 hours and will be paid up to 3 hours; cost deducted from paycheck ($8).
Physical Demands
Regular standing, walking, bending; use of arms, hands, fingers to feel, handle, reach, lift; climbing or balance; communicating and understanding. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Push and/or pull 50-100 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment and Conditions
Fun and positive environment; exposure to outside weather while serving guests; moderate noise level.
