Retail Counter Associate

The Range in McKinney is a family-owned indoor shooting range looking for a Retail Counter Associate who is 21 years old or older. The role combines retail customer service with occasional event coordination. You must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekdays, weekends, some holidays), 30+ hours per week, and have reliable transportation.

• Hourly pay: $15-$17
• Hours:
  
  Up to 32 per week (part-time)

• Greet members and guests
• Perform sales transactions using a computerized point-of-sale system
• Assign shooting lanes and coordinate range traffic
• Assist with firearm rental(s)
• Assist members/guests in selecting a new or rental firearm (once trained)
• Assist with 4473 and NICS background check procedures (once trained)
• Answer phone calls
• Sell ammunition, memberships, classes, and merchandise
• Communicate safety requirements to members and guests (once trained)
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Be responsible for the retail area and keep inventory in order
• Be willing to learn about the firearms industry
• Be able to work an event when needed
• Additional duties as needed but always within reason
• Say "NO" when necessary

• Ensure proper staffing for events
• Coordinate with caterers, restaurants, and outside vendors
• Help prepare proposals for events
• Coordinate scheduling
• Monitor events

• 21 years old or older
• Excellent people and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work without direction
• Flexible availability (weekdays, weekdays, holidays)
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable handling firearms safely and unloaded
• Background check, drug test, and lead level test required
• Must be able to purchase a firearm legally in the US
