Position Overview
The Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target leads a team responsible for picking, preping, packing, sorting, and shipping products to customers, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely fulfillment that supports sales growth and guest satisfaction.
CompensationStarting pay: $21.75 – $23.75 per hour. Full range: $21.75 – $37.00 per hour, based on labor market, experience, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities- Consistently deliver the guest experience commitment, creating an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly environment.
- Train and coach team members on guest experience standards and operations.
- Observe performance, provide timely feedback, celebrate wins, and hold team members accountable for guest outcomes.
- Review area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify improvement opportunities and align the team on behavior and execution.
- Lead the fulfillment team, support sales growth, and ensure departmental and store profitability.
- Utilize workload planning tools to meet scheduled fulfillment and delivery standards.
- Review fulfillment reporting, identify gaps, and develop corrective plans.
- Create daily plans and goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and security protocols, including food‑safety guidelines and physical security processes.
- Support merchandise protection strategies and inventory control.
- Handle occasional store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities as needed.
- Perform additional duties requested by direct leadership based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable.
- Tech‑savvy: able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload and prioritizing tasks.
- Effective communication and a welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
- Physical capability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds, use ladders, and move inventory safely.
- Operates handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
