Job Summary
Honda Cars of McKinney (601 S. Central Expressway, McKinney, Texas 75070) is seeking a Sales Representative to sell new or used vehicles, meet sales goals, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Meet dealership sales goals.
- Greet customers and determine their vehicle preferences.
- Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or on a test drive.
- Suggest optional equipment for purchase.
- Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and discount.
- Complete all paperwork associated with vehicle sales, such as sales slip or sales contract.
- Arrange delivery and registration of vehicles.
- Research availability of models and optional equipment.
- Engage in business development activities.
- Address customer concerns and maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Participate in required training.
- Record all hours worked accurately in the company time‑keeping system.
- Follow Safeguards rules and regulations, company policies, and all federal, state, local, and safety rules.
- Demonstrate the company’s core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate Degree in any field.
- Desired
Work Experience:
0–3 years, 3–5 years, or 5+ years in automotive sales or customer service. - Desired
Skills:
Prior sales and/or customer service experience, strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions, moderate math skills, and common sense reasoning. - Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and automobile salesperson license.
- Computer
Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn web applications for customer management. - Physical & Environmental Demands: Must stand, walk, sit, and drive regularly; perform work both indoors and outdoors on the car lot.
