Job Summary

Honda Cars of McKinney (601 S. Central Expressway, McKinney, Texas 75070) is seeking a Sales Representative to sell new or used vehicles, meet sales goals, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Meet dealership sales goals.
• Greet customers and determine their vehicle preferences.
• Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or on a test drive.
• Suggest optional equipment for purchase.
• Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and discount.
• Complete all paperwork associated with vehicle sales, such as sales slip or sales contract.
• Arrange delivery and registration of vehicles.
• Research availability of models and optional equipment.
• Engage in business development activities.
• Address customer concerns and maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Participate in required training.
• Record all hours worked accurately in the company time‑keeping system.
• Follow Safeguards rules and regulations, company policies, and all federal, state, local, and safety rules.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate Degree in any field.

  0–3 years, 3–5 years, or 5+ years in automotive sales or customer service.

  Prior sales and/or customer service experience, strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions, moderate math skills, and common sense reasoning.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and automobile salesperson license.

  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn web applications for customer management.
• Physical & Environmental Demands: Must stand, walk, sit, and drive regularly; perform work both indoors and outdoors on the car lot.
