Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Assistant supports the new home sales process, maintains showhomes or sales center, and provides customers with an exceptional customer experience throughout the home buying process.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Provide customers with showhome tours, product information and purchase process.
- Answer incoming calls and emails and book appointments.
- Assist in qualifying potential purchasers and converting them into qualified buyers.
- Track customer information and assist in obtaining financing.
- Continuously inspect and ensure showhomes or sales center are appealing and presentable.
- Attend to items such as tidying décor, straightening signage, maintaining inventory of kitchen and washroom supplies, and identifying items of concern or in need of repair.
- Support customers throughout the home building process and coordinate project changes.
- Provide updates on building progress and coordinate walkthroughs.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, calendar management, tracing customer deposits, and maintaining office supplies, sales brochures, and signage.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of sales experience, preferably in residential home building industry.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM and accounting software (Hub Spot, New Star etc.).
- Creating trusting and successful working relationships.
- Setting clear, measurable and achievable goals.
- Cooperating with team members in an open, positive and respectful manner.
- Staying current with technical job skills.
- Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.
You primarily work in a show home or sales center setting. Hours are primarily regular business hours with evenings and/or weekends; occasional travel to off-site meetings or other showhomes is required.
