Job Description

The Internet Sales Manager is responsible for leading the dealership's internet sales operations by managing online leads, coaching the Internet Sales team, and driving lead conversion into vehicle sales. This role ensures timely customer follow-up, delivers an exceptional buying experience, monitors sales performance, and collaborates with dealership leadership to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. The ideal candidate is a results‑driven leader with strong communication, coaching, and CRM management skills who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and growing dealership sales.

Job Requirements
  • Manage and respond promptly to internet sales leads from dealership websites, manufacturer programs, and third‑party lead providers
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the Internet Sales team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Ensure timely follow‑up with all internet, phone, text, chat, and email inquiries
  • Monitor lead response times, appointment setting, and conversion rates
  • Develop strategies to increase internet lead generation, appointments, and vehicle sales
  • Train and mentor team members on CRM best practices, lead management, and customer communication
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry through vehicle delivery
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activities within the dealership CRM
  • Ensure all customer communications are professional, timely, and consistent with dealership standards
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, CRM tools, manufacturer programs, and online sales best practices
  • Proven success leading a sales or Business Development Center (BDC) team
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience using dealership CRM systems and internet lead management tools
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and performance metrics
  • Customer‑focused with excellent organizational and time‑management skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
