The Industrial Security Specialist will support the Document Control team by interpreting and applying DoD policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure compliance across a large, cleared employee population handling classified materials. Core responsibilities include identification of security risks and contributing to the implementation of mitigation solutions that pertain to collateral closed areas and accountability for classified materials, including handling, shipping, and door/safe combination management.
The role may require courier duties between multiple facilities in North Texas. This entry‑level, salaried professional contributor reports to the Document Control Lead and works directly with the Facility Security Officer on ongoing projects. A valid driver’s license is required. The position is based at the McKinney, TX facility.
- Support specialized procedures for the accountability, destruction, and transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information
- Audit and maintain accountability for classified asset management using internal systems
- Assist with day‑to‑day interaction with internal customers, including area custodian training updates and PIN/combination changes
- Assist with personnel security processes upon request
- Learn the NISPOM and other mandated security procedures
- University degree or equivalent experience with less than two years of relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience dealing with customers and ability to multitask
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with flexibility to adapt to changing situations
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and anticipate needs and impacts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
