We are seeking a skilled Licensed Electrician with proven experience in data center construction and maintenance to join our team in McKinney, Texas. This position requires a valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) electrical license and hands‑on expertise working in mission‑critical data center environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in data center facilities
- Work with high‑voltage power distribution systems, UPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure
- Install and terminate power cables, conduit systems, and cable tray systems specific to data center requirements
- Perform electrical work on PDUs (Power Distribution Units), remote power panels, and rack‑level power distribution
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in mission‑critical environments with minimal downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for data center electrical systems
- Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, TDLR regulations, and data center industry standards
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades on data center construction projects
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure 24/7 uptime requirements
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs
- Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs as needed
- Valid TDLR Electrical License (Journeyman or Master Electrician)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed electrician
- Demonstrated experience working on data center projects (construction, maintenance, or both)
- Strong knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure including power distribution, UPS systems, and generator systems
- Proficiency reading electrical blueprints, one‑line diagrams, and technical specifications
- Understanding of NEC code requirements and data center industry standards
- Ability to work in mission‑critical environments with strict safety and uptime requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with fiber optic installation and low‑voltage systems
- Previous work with hyperscale or enterprise data center facilities
