RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II

This contract role offers an opportunity to work as a Maintenance Technician II within a climate-controlled distribution center, supporting the operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will apply your electrical and mechanical expertise to keep complex conveyor and robotics systems running safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• Support the operations maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, including both electrical and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
• Apply mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to maintain and restore equipment to proper working condition.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on material handling and automated equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and issues to the operations and maintenance teams.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems within the distribution center.

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician working with material handling equipment in an industrial or distribution environment.
• Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment.
• Mechanical experience with conveyors and other automated material handling systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and their application in industrial equipment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical issues on conveyors and automated equipment.
• Comfort working in a climate-controlled distribution center environment.

• Prior experience supporting operations or facilities maintenance teams in a distribution or logistics setting.
• Familiarity with automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Experience working in contract-based or temporary maintenance roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly with operations and maintenance staff regarding equipment status and repairs.
