Job SummaryThe HVAC Filter Replacement Specialist is responsible for inspecting, removing, replacing, and properly disposing of HVAC air filtration systems in both an industrial and professional environment. This role ensures optimal air quality, system efficiency and equipment reliability.
Starting pay: $20/hr
ScheduleMonday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on facility needs
Performance ExpectationsAdhere to all company policies, including safety protocols, PPE usage, attendance standards, and work practices, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment
Meet scheduled filter change intervals
Minimize system downtime during service
Ensure high standards of equipment cleanliness
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Key ResponsibilitiesInspect HVAC systems to identify filter types, sizes, and replacement schedules
Remove and replace air filters in air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), exhaust systems, and other industrial HVAC equipment
Ensure proper sealing and installation of filters to prevent bypass and maintain efficiency
Monitor filter condition and report abnormalities such as excessive dirt buildup, moisture, or damage
Maintain accurate records of filter changes, system conditions, and service intervals
Communicate with supervisors and maintenance teams regarding equipment condition and necessary repairs
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs
Prolonged standing, bending, and climbing
Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses
Work EnvironmentIndustrial settings (manufacturing plants, warehouses, processing facilities)
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Work at heights using ladders or lifts
Work around operating machinery
Professional settings (offices and meeting spaces)
