Maintenance Supervisor

Location

The Gables of McKinney – 1500 Eldorado Pkwy Business.

Supervises, coordinates, and performs activities related to the general maintenance of a multi‑unit residential property of higher complexity. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, plumbing, carpentry, and housekeeping tasks.

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance staff, recommend hires, discipline staff, and contribute to performance appraisals.
• Provide training, coaching, and communication to maintenance staff.
• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, lubricate, repair, and replace mechanical equipment, heating, and air‑conditioning units.
• Perform or assign routine to difficult carpentry duties, including installation of doors, doorjambs, moldings, hinges, door closers, locks, knobs, drywall or plaster repair, and painting duties.
• Perform or assign routine to difficult electrical duties, including inspection and testing of lighting, wiring, and power circuits, and replacement of switches, lamps, and ballasts.
• Perform or assign routine to difficult plumbing duties, such as unclogging sinks and toilets, repairing faucets, assemblies, washers, and pipes, and repairing fountains.
• Interface with contractors and vendors, create written specifications, secure bids, and negotiate for goods and services.

High School Diploma or GED.

Required:

3–4 years in commercial or multi‑unit property maintenance. Experience of 5–7 years may offset the minimum education requirement.
