Position Overview

As a facilities technician, you will complete work order service requests in support of the branch maintenance department. You will perform preventive maintenance, oversee service contractors, and deliver routine maintenance (housekeeping, grounds maintenance, gate maintenance, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Electrical repair – lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostics (20%)
  • Plumbing repair – pump and fixture installations/replacements, drain cleaning, diagnostics (20%)
  • HVAC – basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance (20%)
  • Basic mechanical repair on forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment (20%)
  • Basic building repair – painting, wall repair, floor repair (10%)
  • Other duties as required (10%)
Desired Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • High mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience with hand tools (a plus)
  • Experience demonstrating skill in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and related building trades
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate changing facility needs
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Stand, walk, see, talk, and hear regularly; sit occasionally
  • Operate large equipment and position self to maintain operation of equipment
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment
  • Work around moving mechanical parts; noise level is loud
  • Risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions
Compensation

$19.38 – $29.09 per hour.

Location and Status

Full‑time, non‑exempt position located in McKinney, TX. Relocation not available for this position. No domestic travel required.
