ABOUT TRINDOM GLOBAL

Trindom Global is a low-voltage and technology systems contractor delivering Division 27 scope on commercial construction projects — structured cabling, audiovisual, video wall and display systems, distributed antenna systems, and related infrastructure. We work shoulder to shoulder with general contractors, electrical trades, and end clients to deliver clean, code-compliant, well-documented installations on schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY

Trindom Global is hiring three technicians to install, terminate, test, and document Division 27 low-voltage systems on commercial projects. You will run copper and fiber, dress racks, mount displays, install pathway, and certify systems to manufacturer and TIA standards.

We're looking for technicians who care about clean work — perfectly dressed bundles, labeled patches, straight ladder rack, and test reports you'd be proud to hand to the client. You'll work alongside a working RCDD Project Manager, with real opportunity to advance into lead and PM roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install structured cabling:
Cat 6/6A copper, OS2/OM4 fiber, coax, and specialty low-voltage cable
  • Pull, dress, and terminate cable in racks, cabinets, IDFs, MDFs, and at workstation outlets
  • Install J-hooks, cable tray, ladder rack, conduit fittings, firestop, and other pathway components
  • Mount, terminate, and align AV components — displays, video walls, cameras, speakers, and head-end equipment
  • Test and certify copper and fiber links using Fluke DSX/Versiv, OTDR, and OLTS; troubleshoot failures and document corrective action
  • Maintain accurate redlines and field notes for as-built generation
  • Follow installation standards (TIA, BICSI, manufacturer) and project-specific specifications
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; participate in toolbox talks and JHAs
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and material needs to the Lead Tech / Project Manager daily
  • Mentor Helper / Green Technicians on the crew
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience installing and terminating structured cabling in commercial environments
  • Proficient with copper and fiber termination methods — punch-down, RJ45, LC/SC, fusion splicing a plus
  • Experience using certification test equipment (Fluke DSX/Versiv, OTDR) and reading test results
  • Ability to read and follow construction drawings, RCPs, and cable schedules
  • Comfortable working from ladders, lifts (scissor and boom), and at heights
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active BICSI certification (INST1, INST2, or Technician)- Significant plus!
  • Manufacturer certifications (Panduit PCI, Comm Scope, Leviton, Corning CCT, Belden Certified)
  • Fusion splicing experience and OSP/ISP fiber background
  • AV experience — display mounting, video wall alignment, rack build/burn-in, control system pull and termination
  • DAS / wireless infrastructure experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Lift certifications (scissor / boom)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work from lifts at heights up to 30+ feet
  • Frequent kneeling, crawling, reaching overhead, and working in ceilings, IDFs, and tight spaces
  • Active construction environment — dust, noise, varying temperatures, hard hat / safety glasses / safety-toe boots required
  • Travel between jobsites across the DFW Metroplex
WHY TRINDOM GLOBAL
  • Project variety — commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, and corporate work
  • Modern tools, test equipment, and documented installation standards
  • A team that takes pride in clean cable, straight ladder rack, and tight as-builts
  • Real career growth — we promote from within and pay for certifications that move you up
  • Direct access to estimating, project management, and ownership — your work is seen
