Shipping Coordinator

- Work in accordance with safety rules and support the safety team
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
- Adhere to Quality Management System procedures
- Review open orders and check orders against shipping/customer order requirements
- Schedule appointments with truckload carriers, calling 24 hours in advance when necessary
- Create pick lists, assist in picking, scanning and shipping
- Measure and weigh products, converting measurements from English to metric when necessary
- Complete essential documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, ASN's, and shipping alert notifications, and maintain and file shipping documents
- Create box labels, BOL, packing slips, and stickers for each piece as necessary
- Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and notify supervisor when reorder is required
- Check receipts against purchase orders for shortages, damages, or defects
- Receive incoming materials, manage inventory, and participate in physical counts
- Read inventory reports and reconcile to actual counts
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 3-5 years in a shipping setting
- Data entry and keyboarding accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Planning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read packing slips, pick lists, and training material for forklift certification
- Organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook, and exposure to inventory software
- Forklift certification
- Regular and reliable attendance

- Ascend/descend stairways and platforms up to 50+ feet in height
- Stand for 12 hours
- Walk
- Bend, twist, reach, push, pull
- Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds (higher weights require a two-person lift)
