Qualifications- 4–7+ years of accounting experience out of the SaaS industry handling prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with Net Suite is preferred, UKG is nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Lead and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, revenue, prepaid expenses, reclasses)
- Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations
- Support preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Manage SaaS subscription revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Analyze contracts for revenue treatment, including multi-element arrangements
- Reconcile deferred revenue and contract asset/liability balances
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure accurate contract setup
- Support reporting of SaaS KPIs such as ARR, MRR, churn, and customer acquisition cost
- Monitor billing data integrity within subscription management systems
- Support external audit and tax engagements
- Maintain documentation for revenue recognition and internal controls (SOX if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Drive process automation and improvements within ERP and billing systems
- Support ERP implementations or system enhancements
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting workflows
