Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Assistant International Controller to join our fast‑paced engineering firm. This role is a key player in our international finance team, directly contributing to our financial strategy and operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with significant experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, handling foreign currencies, transfer pricing, and international billing.

This role requires deep understanding of international accounting standards, inventory controls, and financial accounting. A CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including FX, foreign currencies, transfer pricing, financial accounting, international billing, and inventory.
  • Ensuring the company’s financial systems are in compliance with internal controls, SOX, and GAAP.
  • Overseeing and managing the company's international financial activities, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Reviewing and analysing financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Making recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Working closely with the International Controller and other senior management to share reports and analysis findings.
  • Participating in the development of strategic plans, providing financial input and leadership on decision‑making issues affecting the organization.
  • Qualifications
    • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, supporting international operations and multiple currencies.
    • Proficiency in FX, foreign currencies, transfer pricing, financial accounting, international billing, and inventory controls.
    • Strong understanding of SOX, GAAP, and international accounting standards.
    • Proven experience managing a team and working collaboratively across departments.
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to create financial forecasts and budgets.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
    • Will travel approximately one week of quarterly travel.
