Business Director, Insights and Analytics – Community Finance
The Business Director, Insights and Analytics leads a team that turns complex operational data into a clear strategic roadmap to aid in faster, more confident decisions that drive growth. The role is for a curious, analytical leader who asks questions, produces rigorous analysis, and uses data-driven foresight to drive change.
Responsibilities- Strategic leadership: develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Leadership: manage, coach, and develop multiple analysts, fostering talent retention and growth.
- Product: develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product‑level data modeling and analytics.
- Marketing: lead direct‑to‑consumer marketing efforts for select products and shape strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel; build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technology concepts.
- Credit Risk: drive step‑change improvements in credit performance by connecting future credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses through rigorous analysis.
- Execution: manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against product strategy; oversee multiple concurrent projects and programs.
- Partnership: work closely with colleagues across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other units to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Proven track record of decision making and problem‑solving based on analytics.
- Strong conceptual thinking complemented by a rigorous quantitative orientation.
- Tenacious decision maker with strong business judgment, integrity, and an aggressive yet responsible approach.
- Solid people‑leadership experience: ability to build and leverage a high‑performing team and hold business partners accountable.
- Strong executive communication skills, with impeccable written and oral communication and strategic influencing abilities.
- Clear results orientation: intense focus on achieving short‑ and long‑term goals in an uncertain, fluid environment.
- Successful track record thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 4 years of quantitative analysis experience.
- At least 4 years of qualitative analysis experience.
- At least 2 years of people‑management experience.
- At least 2 years of project‑management experience.
- Master’s Degree.
- 2+ years in financial services.
- 1+ year in consulting.
- 3+ years of people‑management experience.
- Chicago, IL: $209,500 – $239,100 for Business Director.
- McLean, VA: $230,400 – $263,000 for Business Director.
- New York, NY: $251,400 – $286,900 for Business Director.
