Senior Associate, Project Manager – Strategic Portfolio Management (Global Enterprise Affairs)

Senior Associate, Project Manager works with many external and internal stakeholders to envision and create a world of greater socioeconomic opportunity through advocating for an inclusive society, building thriving communities, and creating financial tools that enrich lives. This role oversees processes and coordinates timelines for the Originations team’s end‑to‑end sourcing life cycles, including Open Calls, Always‑On intake processes, and Venture Sourcing, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Build a Centralized Project Management Function: develop, manage, and monitor meeting routines, project timelines, and milestones across sourcing mechanisms (Open Calls, Always‑On intake, and Venture Sourcing) to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate across cross‑functional teams—including Market Engagement, GEA Intelligence, and Lines of Business—to align efforts, streamline workflows, and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain and optimize a centralized project management system to track progress, updates, and dependencies for all sourcing and vetting activities.
  • Participate in agile sprints to automate and improve tracking tools and intake repositories.
  • Leverage project management prowess to build infrastructure and operationalize repeatable processes and procedures for pipeline building.
  • Create, maintain, and organize documentation, including intake repositories, schedules, templates, and process guidelines.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders regarding timelines, expectations, pipeline status, and strategic updates.
  • Utilize Google Suite and emerging automation tools to manage, organize, and present sourcing materials and due‑diligence documentation effectively.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end sourcing life cycles from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to established guidelines, due‑diligence, and timelines.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute follow‑up action items to ensure seamless alignment across new interaction models with internal stakeholders.
  • Create polished Google Slides, decks, and reports to support presentations, stakeholder engagement, and pipeline reviews.
  • Partner with a broad array of internal partners to grow and demonstrate Capital One’s corporate identity and mission orientation to external communities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor supporting day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term 2026 objectives of the Originations team and broader GEA organization.
  • Build influence and impact beyond the team through leadership without authority, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Implement frameworks and participate in agile sprints that contribute to operational efficiencies, such as optimizing tracking tools and intake workflows.
  • Monitor and report KPIs for all sourcing pipelines (Open Calls, Always‑On, Venture Sourcing) and adjust strategies as stakeholder and community needs dictate.
  • Identify ways to improve, plan, design, and manage project workflows, embracing a test‑and‑learn mindset to continuously optimize vetting and origination mechanics.
  • Relentlessly seek ways to automate, streamline, and document work—participating in agile sprints to enhance tracking tools and intake repositories.
Desired Characteristics
  • Impact‑driven:
Dream big, desire to make tangible community impact, and thrive on collaborative success.
  • Wired for Collaboration and Connection:
Thrive in a matrixed organization, build seamless interaction models, and cultivate relationships across diverse internal teams.
  • Agile Do‑er:
Biased toward action, embrace test‑and‑learn mentality, navigate roadblocks, and remove obstacles to stay focused on strategic priorities.
  • Tech‑Savvy Innovator:
Fluent in technology, data, and evolving AI landscape; leverage tech to work smarter and champion automation of tracking tools and intake repositories.
  • Intellectually Curious with a Strong Point of View:
Ask why, explore ambiguity, and drive continuous learning to refine perspectives.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a for‑profit company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business,…
