Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Deposit Strategy – As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. • Drive innovation by leveraging models and AI tools, including Gemini, to uncover deeper insights, develop new strategies and ensure the business is positioned for profitable growth.
• Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them through analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
• Perform modeling and analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various deposit products.
• Support direct‑to‑consumer marketing efforts for selected products and develop strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel, creating targeted insights for new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
• Support step‑change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
• Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analyze, develop solutions, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan.
• Partner with colleagues across Capital One – IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service and profitability.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis.
• Currently in the process of obtaining or has completed one of the following degrees:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics or Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience in statistical model building.
• 1+ year of experience in market research.
• 1+ year of experience in SQL querying.
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis.
• 1+ year of experience in consulting.
• Capital One will consider sponsoring a qualified applicant for employment authorization.

Salary ranges:
McLean, VA – $111,200 – $126,900;
Richmond, VA – $101,100 – $115,400. The role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives.
