Business Manager – XP Analytics Growth, ECP
This role is within the Experience Platforms Analytics (XPA) team and serves the broader Enterprise Consumer Products organization. You will have the opportunity to lead analysis focused on growing our customer relationships by leveraging data to influence and measure the outcomes for our customers and business through digital experiences. You would be responsible for analytical recommendations for driving and optimizing offer presentation to maximize customer and business value through digital channels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop the destination vision for Offers in EASE with product partners in the space. Define what destination looks like, how to measure it, and how to get there from where we are today.
- Ideate with product teams on new features or changes necessary to achieve destination.
- Design experiments to test feature effectiveness including key hypotheses, supporting metrics, power analyses for durations, and credit risk implications.
- Monitor experiments post‑launch and interpret results to advance the digital strategy.
- Provide insights on digital customer behavior to quantify business impact and guide decision‑making.
- Strategic leadership:
Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands. - Leadership:
May manage and develop 1‑2 analysts. Coach and mentor associates. - Product:
Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics. - Marketing:
Lead direct‑to‑consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go‑to‑market strategies. - Credit Risk:
Drive step‑change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis. - Execution:
Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently. - Partnership:
Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability. - Strategic & analytic orientation:
Proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking complemented by strong quantitative orientation. - Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity:
Tenacious decision maker, healthy aggressive yet responsible approach to business. - Solid people leadership experience:
Build and leverage capabilities of a high‑performing team, business partners, foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold partners accountable. - Strong executive communication skills:

- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field).
