Senior Associate, Project Management - US Card Authorizations

Job Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and are delivered on time.
• Leverage problem‑solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
• Partner cross‑functionally with project customers and the Discover Governing PMO to provide tactical thought partnership and effectively drive project delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to capture updates, risks, dependencies and ensure delivery of commitments.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, quickly putting structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
• Possess excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with and influencing stakeholders at all levels across the company.
• Support programs and portfolio management, manage processes, identify improvements, and utilize data to tell impactful stories to leadership, customers, and business partners.

• Bachelor’s Degree or recognized military experience.
• At least 2 years of Project Management or Business Process Management experience.
• At least 1 year of Communications or Relationship Management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience using Jira.
• At least 2 years of experience with Tableau or Quick Sight.

• 4+ years of Project Management experience.
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing GenAI applications to solve complex business problems, analyze data sets, or automate routine processes.

Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are:
McLean, VA: $96,500 – $110,100;
