Background Screening Lead
The Opportunity:
Oversee and facilitate the background screening program, including pre-hire, pre-adverse action workflows, non-employee and vendor access vetting, and coordination of Government Background Investigations (GBI). Manage overall performance, review investigative reports for accuracy, and ensure compliance with company policy and applicable laws such as FCRA, EEOC, and the Fair Chance Act. Provide oversight of projects and deliver timely communications and updates to senior leadership.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve escalations and maintain service-level agreements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to SOP updates and training. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
- 4+ years of experience with background screenings, personnel security, or corporate investigations
- Experience with pre-adverse or adverse action processes and compliance requirements
- Experience with non-employee program risks and protocols
- Experience with pre-hire adjudication
- Ability to provide guidance on process requirements and oversee task or project completion
- Ability to manage case volumes and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience coordinating GBIs and non-employee vetting
- Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and state fair-chance laws
- Excellent organizational and data analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary determination is based on various factors including location, education, experience, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Please note that benefits and total compensation may vary.
Work Model- Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
- Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
