Responsibilities

  • Support and streamline the preparation of the annual incurred cost submission, including all main schedules and supporting data/supplemental schedules.
  • Assist in preparation and development of forward pricing rate proposals (FPRP).
  • Assist in preparation and development of cost impact proposals resulting from accounting changes.
  • Monitor indirect rates and provide analyses based on multiple scenarios.
  • Analyze transactional data for allowability and allocability in accordance with FAR and CAS.
  • Develop and recommend estimating narratives and assumptions based on historical cost and projected future costs.
  • Analyze key cost elements such as General Conditions (labor, travel, materials, other Direct costs (ODC)), indirect rates (Overhead, G&A, Fringe), insurance rates, car allowance, IT rates, bonding and subcontractor cost.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Purchasing, Estimating, Cost Engineering, Subcontracts, Small Business Offices, FPA and Budgets, and HR on specific proposals.
  • Interface with client and external auditors to ensure understanding of financial data, methodology and applicability under appropriate government regulations.
  • Advise on pre‑contract discussions and negotiations of contract awards, as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business (or equivalent) is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in federal contracts estimating, pricing or financial analysis, including pricing strategies and the ability to develop or deliver price strategy presentations or analysis.
  • Experience with pricing in federal and federally funded proposals, especially Firm Fixed‑Price and GMP contracts with multiple subcontractors.
  • High knowledge of CAS/FAR/DFARS and other applicable government regulations.
  • Experience responding to project owners or their auditors, including DCAA and/or DCMA or other Government Audit Agencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and reliability of output.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Workday, and Coupa is a plus.
  • Knowledge of running CAS Indirect rate reports from SAP would be an added advantage.
The Physical Side of the Role

This is an active, hands‑on role that requires frequent standing, walking on uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling and reaching. You may need to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role also involves desk time in the office for tasks such as computer work, document review and meetings.

Work

Environment

Significant time will be spent on active construction sites, requiring adaptation to all kinds of weather, moderate to loud noise levels, and elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment. Occasional office work will involve moderate noise levels.

Benefits

Base salary range: $65,000 – $170,000. Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills and geographic location. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus potential and comprehensive benefits such as health/dental/vision coverage, paid time off, retirement/401(k) with company contribution, life insurance, commuter benefit, short‑ and long‑term disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, backup daycare, tutoring, family support benefits, EAP/Work‑Life assistance and a holiday contribution program.
