The candidate will provide a variety of support services, including administrative support (coordinating and facilitating meetings), communications support (developing materials and drafting correspondence), and partner coordination (managing recruitment and retention of partners for client-specific initiatives). In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will work to improve internal processes, standardize communications, and help increase coordination across the client organization.

This role will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Senior Advisor, collaborating with internal and external partners on communications and programming, and supporting strategic outreach as needed.

The primary geographic location for the client is in downtown Washington, DC (with some potential travel to Rockville, MD, if needed).

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by coordinating high-priority meetings, correspondence, briefings, and follow-up actions.
  • Support Program Management Office (PMO) functions, including providing inputs to support project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
  • Coordinate across multiple work streams, teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and decision-making.
  • Support strategic engagement efforts with Congressional offices, federal agencies, and external stakeholders to advance client priorities and initiatives.
  • Leverage established relationships within Congress and the federal health community to facilitate stakeholder outreach, information gathering, and coordination activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with federal clients, senior leaders, and partner organizations.

What You Will Need:

  • BA/BS degree relevant to healthcare, public health, public policy, and/or business administration or related course of study with a strong record of academic success
  • 3–5+ years of experience supporting executive operations, project management, program management, or federal health programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HHS organizational structures, programs, policies, and stakeholder environments
  • Experience supporting senior federal executives and managing complex calendars in a dynamic, high-paced environment
  • Understanding of PMO methodologies, project management principles, governance processes, and performance tracking
  • Experience coordinating with federal stakeholders, including agency leadership, program offices, and external partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level materials and briefings
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with colleagues and client stakeholders to achieve shared organizational goals
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (i.e. US citizenship required)
  • Must be able to be on client site in downtown Washington, DC 5 days a week (with potential travel to Rockville, MD).

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Previous experience supporting policy, programmatic, and stakeholder engagement activities related to behavioral health, substance use, mental health, recovery, and public health priorities
  • Established relationships with Congressional staff, committees, and key health policy stakeholders
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification
  • Experience supporting political leadership, senior executive offices, or interagency coordination efforts
