What You Will Do
The Senior Leadership Support Specialist (HHS) role in Federal Health is an integral member of the Guidehouse team who contributes to all levels of the consulting process.

The Primary Responsibilities Of This Role Include- Manage complex executive calendars, coordinate scheduling priorities, and organize meetings with senior federal leaders, Congressional stakeholders, and external partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by coordinating high-priority meetings, correspondence, briefings, and follow-up actions.
- Support Program Management Office (PMO) functions, including providing inputs to support project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
- Coordinate across multiple work streams, teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and decision-making.
- Support strategic engagement efforts with Congressional offices, federal agencies, and external stakeholders to advance client priorities and initiatives.
- Leverage established relationships within Congress and the federal health community to facilitate stakeholder outreach, information gathering, and coordination activities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with federal clients, senior leaders, and partner organizations.
- BA/BS degree relevant to healthcare, public health, public policy, and/or business administration or related course of study with a strong record of academic success
- 3–5+ years of experience supporting executive operations, project management, program management, or federal health programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of HHS organizational structures, programs, policies, and stakeholder environments
- Experience supporting senior federal executives and managing complex calendars in a dynamic, high‑paced environment
- Understanding of PMO methodologies, project management principles, governance processes, and performance tracking
- Experience coordinating with federal stakeholders, including agency leadership, program offices, and external partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level materials and briefings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with colleagues and client stakeholders to achieve shared organizational goals
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (i.e. US citizenship required)
- Must be able to be on client site in downtown Washington, DC 5 days a week (with potential travel to Rockville, MD)
- Previous experience supporting policy, programmatic, and stakeholder engagement activities related to behavioral health, substance use, mental health, recovery, and public health priorities
- Established relationships with Congressional staff, committees, and key health policy stakeholders
- PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification
- Experience supporting political leadership, senior executive offices, or interagency coordination efforts
- Experience working at HHS or with HHS clients
The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00–$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
