Financial Management Consultant

The Financial Management Consultant will help our clients identify, evaluate, and solve complex challenges, assisting them in achieving strategic goals and objectives to fulfill their mission.

• Transform business processes, improve operational efficiency, evaluate and improve internal controls, strengthen policies and controls, increase transparency, performance management, and compliance with Federal laws.
• Develop solutions independently or in a team of highly skilled professionals.
• Interact with client senior management and enhance technical competency, business development, client service, leadership, project management, and people development.
• Support a Government agency within the homeland security enterprise, with opportunities to expand support to other national security-related organizations.
• Support internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) in line with OMB Circular A‑123 for a range of financial and business processes.
• Support the development and execution of corrective action plans and broader remediation strategies to address internal control and audit deficiencies and strengthen financial processes.
• Provide audit and audit risk management and remediation support to maintain a clean audit opinion and improve internal controls.
• Assess the impact of new guidance on financial operations and support implementation of new guidance when applicable.
• Apply analytical, problem‑solving, and reporting skills and techniques.
• Document and evaluate business processes and recommend improvements.
• Produce communications ranging from informal emails to formal memos, issue papers, presentations, executive briefings, and others.
• Conduct research to investigate client problems and collaborate with team members to recommend solutions.
• Assist clients in analyzing projects and programs to identify risks and develop, apply, and monitor mitigations.
• Collect and analyze data, produce models and visualizations, and draw conclusions to improve decision-making.
• Analyze and help develop and improve policies and procedures for various programs and operational needs.

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding.
• Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or applicable financial related field.
• Two (2) years of financial experience.
• Heightened attention to detail, and the ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in growing a career in Government/Federal/Defense and National Security consulting.
• Ability to work in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to utilize project management best practices within an organization to produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner.
