Business Transformation Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Transformation Analyst to support an Enterprise Transformation team managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in McLean, VA
. The Business Transformation Analyst will translate business and technical needs into practical solutions while supporting requirements gathering, process design, testing, implementation, and operational readiness. This position is hybrid in McLean, VA with three days onsite per week!

• Partner with business stakeholders, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, Operations, vendors, and project leaders to scope and implement enterprise solutions
• Lead business analysis activities across discovery, current-state assessments, future-state design, requirements gathering, testing, implementation readiness, and post-production support
• Develop detailed business and functional requirements, process flows, decision points, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements, resolve ambiguity, and align cross-functional teams
• Translate complex business processes, data flows, controls, system dependencies, and operating models into clear, actionable documentation
• Develop and maintain process maps, workflow diagrams, requirements traceability matrices, test scenarios, validation plans, issue logs, and governance documentation
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, defect triage, production readiness, and user signoff
• Identify process gaps, control requirements, operational impacts, data dependencies, and implementation risks
• Prepare executive-level presentations, decision materials, status reports, and updates covering project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items
• Support multiple concurrent enterprise transformation initiatives based on organizational priorities and business needs
• Identify and recommend process improvements, simplification opportunities, risk reduction strategies, and stronger delivery practices
• Drive stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle and ensure business requirements are successfully translated into implemented solutions

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, enterprise transformation, process improvement, technology delivery, operations, or project execution
• Experience supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives involving process change, technology implementations, reporting, access controls, risk, or operations
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
• Experience developing process maps, workflow diagrams, test cases, validation criteria, and implementation documentation
• Hands-on experience supporting SIT, UAT, business validation, defect management, production readiness, and user acceptance
• Ability to understand complex business processes, system dependencies, data flows, access requirements, controls, and operational impacts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and develop practical solutions
• Experience collaborating across business, technology, risk, compliance, information security, operations, and vendor teams
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive clarity, document decisions, and maintain alignment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical, business, and executive audiences
• Ability to operate independently with strong judgment, attention to detail, and minimal direction
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, or similar business analysis and process-mapping tools
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

• Financial services, banking, credit union, or other highly regulated industry experience
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide business or technology transformation programs
• Experience with Jira, Clarity, or similar project and work management platforms
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
• Experience supporting governance, risk, compliance, information security, or operational transformation initiatives

• Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
