Shift: Mondays thru Fridays 1 PM to 6:15 PM or 2:00 PM to 6:15 PM

We are looking for an Afternoon Assistant Teacher who brings energy, flexibility, and heart to our classrooms. In this role, you’ll support children across all age groups — from cuddly infants to curious kindergarteners — wherever help is needed most.
No two afternoons are the same, and that’s part of the magic.
What You’ll Do- Support children’s learning through play, exploration, and connection
- Assist Lead Teachers with daily activities, routines, and transitions
- Provide loving supervision that helps children feel safe, seen, and supported
- Jump in to help with snacks, diapering, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom activities
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
- Be a positive, calming presence during busy afternoon hours
We seek candidates who exhibit professionalism, pride in work, initiative, a strong work ethic and who support parents as partners in education. Other requirements include:
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, engage in physical activity with children, and work indoors or outdoors.
- Must be able to constantly move and interact with the children to provide stimulation and develop relationships.
- Must be able to alternate often between sitting and standing.
- Must be able to maintain sight and sound of the children at all times.
- CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Pass pre-employment screenings and trainings as required.
