About the RoleAs Estimator, you will play a key role in the preconstruction process, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and leadership to support successful project pursuits from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate pricing
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Performing quantity take-offs and cost analysis
- Assisting with budgeting, value engineering, and preconstruction planning
- Coordinating with operations and project management teams during project handoff
- Identifying project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities
- Maintaining relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
- Supporting proposal preparation and bid submission processes
- Participating in pre-bid meetings and client presentations as needed
- 3–8+ years’ experience in estimating with a General Contractor
- Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures
- Experience with estimating software and construction management tools
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
