Summary

A reputable general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up multifamily and commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on schedule control, budget management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering multifamily or commercial projects and can manage multiple moving parts while keeping teams aligned and projects profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multifamily and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Coordinate subcontractor procurement, scope review, and contract execution
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate project schedules and proactively address delays or risks
  • Conduct project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution, safety, and quality
  • Monitor job costs, billing, forecasting, and project profitability
  • Ensure timely project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
  • Experience on ground-up multifamily and/or commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, contracts, and cost management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with owners, design teams, and subcontractors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
