Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Leader for our Automation Systems Division to oversee and manage the successful execution of projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of automation systems, and excellent leadership skills.

• Lead and manage automation systems projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget and timeline.
• Collaborate with clients, engineering teams and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures and schedules to guide execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and proactively manage risks and changes.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of engineers, technicians and support staff; foster a collaborative high‑performance culture.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serve as primary point of contact and manage expectations.
• Ensure all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry codes and regulations.
• Conduct inspections and audits, enforce quality control processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses and resources, forecast expenditures and identify profitability opportunities.
• Source and manage project materials, equipment and subcontractors in partnership with procurement and supply‑chain teams.
• Travel as required (approximately 25% of the time).
• Apply industry best practices and standards in the design, implementation and integration of automation systems.

• Hands‑on knowledge of automation systems – switch gear, power distribution, metering, motor control centers and related technologies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 CPM or equivalent scheduling software.
• Experience leading and managing cross‑functional project teams.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and project financial management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven decision mindset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
• PMP or CAP certification is highly desirable.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a project leadership role.

• Master’s degree in engineering with 5–7 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7–9 years of experience.
