Senior Orbital Analyst

Prescient Edge is seeking a Senior Orbital Analyst to support a government client.

Responsibilities:

* Ability to perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates.

* Generate simulations to validate accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques.

* Familiarity with Python, Shell Scripting for engineeing support and validation testing

* Contribute to development of new and improved mission capabilities.

* Engage customers for product demonstrations and analysis products and the ability to effectively communicate results.

* Communicate complex network solutions to technical and non-technical employees.

* Perform real time support, troubleshooting and analysis of in-orbit satellite anomalies, providing immediate and relevant problem identification and resolution.

* Provide support for root cause analysis and investigation of satellite anomalies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

* Demonstrated experience with orbit determination and astrodynamics techniques.

* Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools including STK/Astrogator and/or Orbit Determination Tool Kit (ODTK), and MATLAB.

* Trajectory analysis tool experience such as POST, OTIS, Astrogator, or Copernicus.

* Operations background to include in-depth understanding of satellite operations.

* Thorough understanding of spacecraft, space operations and ground interfaces.

* System engineering mindset that allows the person to have a global view of problems and solution sets.

* Experience with Linux operating system.

* Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving skills.

* Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.

* High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

* Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.
