Seeking a hands-on Hardware Lab Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of advanced electronic and communication systems. This role combines laboratory testing, hardware assembly, board rework, troubleshooting, and occasional field testing. The ideal candidate enjoys building, debugging, and validating new hardware while working closely with engineering teams to accelerate product development.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, modify, rework, and validate prototype electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards.
- Perform board-level testing, troubleshooting, soldering, fine‑pitch rework, and hardware bring‑up activities.
- Support engineering teams by executing hardware validation, collecting test data, documenting results, and identifying potential design issues.
- Assist with prototype builds, laboratory experiments, and field testing of communication and embedded hardware systems.
- Work independently to investigate technical problems, develop solutions, and support rapid product iteration.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Hands‑on experience with PCB assembly, board rework, soldering, and fine‑pitch component repair.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, or validating electronic hardware, embedded systems, or consumer electronic products.
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, prototype solutions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel periodically to support field testing and product validation.
- Experience supporting hardware development from prototype through validation.
- Background with RF systems, embedded hardware, communications devices, robotics, defense, or maritime products.
- Experience with test automation, Python scripting, data collection, or technical documentation.
Estimated Minimum Salary: $60,000/Annually
Estimated Maximum Salary: $80,000/Annually
