Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work
• Oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops
• Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects
• Manage project design or construction efforts
• Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into the MAXIMO software project management tool
• Provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction issues
• Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a facilities professional
• 2+ years of experience in an assigned field, including mechanical systems or construction
• Experience with the implementation or execution of design documents
• Experience reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues with the design intent
• Ability to evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all federal, state, and local codes
• Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred;
  Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• LEED Certification
• EIT Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) License

Demonstrates expertise in project management, engineering review, and oversight of construction and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with design intent and industry standards. Proficient in utilizing MAXIMO software for project management and capable of providing technical guidance on contracting and construction issues.
